Local graduate employers

Many of the larger graduate recruiters do have local offices in Leeds, particularly those that recruit to the finance sector. In addition to this, there are some local organisations that are looking to take on a number of graduates over the coming year. Some examples are:

Leeds City Council

Leeds City council have always recruited graduates mainly through the Local government National Graduate Development programme. However last year they set up their own scheme taking on ten graduates of which five were from the University of Leeds. In 2013 they are hoping to take on fifteen to twenty graduates.
The graduate scheme is run by the Children’s Service Directorate but recruits graduates to all areas of the council. To get up to date information on the programme send your name, course details and university to graduateprogramme@leeds.gov.uk

Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC)

With an office based on Boar Lane in Leeds they are the information and research centre for the NHS. They are looking to recruit graduates into positions as information analysts and within the I.T team. They will be recruiting at 3 month intervals over the coming year.

Voluntary Action Leeds

Specialising in support for third sector organisations across Leeds; they also advertise a range of employment and voluntary opportunities for those wishing to find employment in the charity sector.
