Your options

12-month placements

A 12-month placement as part of your course may also be referred to as an industrial placement or a year in industry. Larger employers may start accepting applications up to a year in advance so do your research and apply as early as possible to give yourself the best chance.

The first step is to check if your department offers this option. You should speak to your placement contact for information and advice as there may be departmental requirements for the module e.g. 2.1 grade average, good attendance or that you undertake a course related module. Some departments don't offer their own placement module but instead allow you to take our elective placement year module CSER 8000.
