Graduate Outcomes Survey

Graduate Outcomes Survey

Graduate Outcomes survey

Graduate Outcomes is the national survey recording what students do after they graduate. It's important for several reasons – so here's what you need to know.

What is it for?

The survey is crucial to understanding the prospects of each year's graduate cohort. The data produced by the survey goes on to be used for:

  • Informing Higher Education policy, improving the university experience for students and ensuring your voice is heard.
  • Assisting the university's Careers Service in providing advice and support after you graduate.
  • Providing insight into career prospects for current and future students.
  • Displaying trends in the current graduate job market.

When does it happen?

You will be contacted 15 months after graduating – either by email or telephone – on behalf of the University of Leeds and HESA. You will then be asked to complete the survey online or over the telephone.

What do I need to do?

The only thing you need to do before being surveyed is ensure that your alumni contact details are up to date. Once you have been contacted, you can complete the survey – it only takes a few minutes.

What happens to my information?

Data collected through the survey is held by HESA in accordance with their data protection standards.

Anonymised data from the survey may be provided to University of Leeds staff and external professional bodies for related research purposes.
