The Future of Education and the Role of the Private Education Sector

Come join EY-Parthenon Strategy Partners, Anna Grotberg and Derrick Betts, on Thursday 20th August as they present 'The Future of Education and the Role of the Private Education Sector’. In this interactive session they will cover the changing landscape of the higher education sector, the impact of COVID-19, and the role of the private sector. The session will explore the following themes

  • Public sector funding constraints and the need for the private sector to expand capacity
  • Emerging models of delivery and the accelerated adoption of online education during lockdown
  • Improving student outcomes and the increasing importance of links to employers and the labour market
  • New course development and new pathways to gain a qualification
  • International student mobility and the use of overseas recruitment agents


Following this session, a number of our European offices will be running a recruitment Q&A session in their local language to give you a chance to learn more about your preferred office location. The following offices will be running sessions:

  • Germany
  • Portugal
  • The Netherlands
  • United Kingdom

Please note if you are not interested in joining a recruitment session there is the option to select ‘none’ in the relevant field. For any candidate that joined a recruitment session back in May following EY-Parthenon Rotterdam’s ‘Retail Rules Rewritten’ session please note that the content will be the same.

Please note the timings of the sessions will be as follows:

Education Digital Masterclass                         11:00 – 12:30 BST // 12:00 – 13:30 CET

Local Recruitment Q&A session                      12:45 – 13:45 BST // 13:45 – 14:45 CET

The UK recruitment session will run on from the masterclass session all in the same webinar link.

For all other geographies, the specific location will send out a separate invite to their call on the 19th August once registrations are closed.

Are you a final year or recent Leeds graduate? Still not sure what you want to do after university? Or got something which isn’t in line with your long-term plans? Our "kickstart your career" series is for you.

For this second virtual Kickstart event, we have invited four employers to deliver sessions that will boost your skills (both for job applications and actual professional life), give you confidence and allow insight into their working practices.

Workshops and talks delivered by Arla Foods (multinational, farmer-owned dairy company), Barnett Waddingham (actuarial experts), Graft Talent (graduate roles with SMEs in Leeds) and Teach First (graduate scheme route into the classroom). 

All of them are currently hiring graduates, and there will be time at the end of their sessions for Q&A and networking with their staff and graduate interns.
