Shanidar Teaching School Alliance - Meet and Greet with Education

Shanidar is a teaching school alliance in Bradford with a specialist SEND/Inclusion focus, led by five schools: Central PRU, Delius primary special school, Swain House Primary School and Titus Salt secondary mainstream school, working with Southfield School the designated Teaching School.

We have strategic partnerships with the District Achievement Partnership of Bradford special schools, Exceed SCITT, Leeds Trinity University, Pennine TSA, Yorkshire Special Education Partnership (Schools Direct) and LA Education Psychology Service.

Assessment Centre Workshop for EPS Students - Run by Network Rail

Network Rail own, operate and develop Britain’s railway infrastructure. They have year in industry placements, summer placements and graduate roles in various fields, some of these include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering, Finance, Project Management, Environment and Sustainable Development, IT and Business Management and more!

Their recruitment team are coming in to do an exclusive session for EPS students, on assessment centres, how they work and how to perform well! This is a great opportunity to understand the Network Rail's recruitment process and get some insights from their recruiters. However, this is a skills session, so even if you are not sure you want to apply for a role with Network Rail do still book a place, as their advice will be relevant to assessment centres in general.

Working in International Development / the Global South

We would like to invite all students studying International Development (level 1-3) to an informal get together and welcome (back) event, with members of the Global Development team participating as well.

Part of the motivation here is to allow you to get to know each other better, have a chat amongst yourself, maybe plan some activities, talk to us etc. We will also have a group talk session to get you talk to each other about your current thoughts regarding working in International Development/the Global South. We will also share some of our experiences/thoughts on that.

We have settled for 2pm - 3pm on Wednesday 20th November

It will take place in Lyddon Terrace Seminar Room 1 (Room 1.06, House Number 20)
