There are lots of opportunities for post-graduate students from work to further study. This gives you information on what research and taught Leeds University Post-Graduate students do.
Taught post graduate students
The students went on to a wide range of opportunities, those that chose to stay in Higher Education went onto opportunities at universities such as: Leeds, Birmingham, Warwick, Manchester and St Andrews studying a wide range of subjects Local Government, Law, Health Informatics or engaging in PhD research projects.
Those students that went into employment also went into a wide range of careers as: Linguistics Tutors, Environmental Scientists, Media Sales Planners and Trainee Accountants.

Post graduate research students
Research studies can be a platform to a wide range of opportunities but with most research opportunities leading to a PhD few graduates remain in Education. The main employment opportunities are in Education with a high number of graduates going into posts at Universities such as: Leeds, Warwick, Manchester and York. Some graduates go on to teach abroad. Those that do go on into other employment tend to find work in specific roles linked to their PhD such as Clinical Psychologists, Research Scientists and Plasma Physicists.
