Work as a solicitor or barrister and other ancillary legal professions such as barrister's clerk and legal executive.

You might be interested in legal work if you have an investigative mind and you are someone that has the ability to understand large amounts of often complex information to highlight salient points. Most barristers are self-employed, but there are other legal opportunities in private practice, the public sector and in-house in industry and commerce. You will need excellent written and oral communication skills and you will need to have achieved a high academic performance to enter the profession.

We have an extensive network of alumni with a wide range of experiences, doing all kinds of jobs. To talk to alumni members working in this sector, visit the Leeds Network
