Employment rights and issues
Equal opportunities & diversity
UK Law protects you against discrimination on certain characteristics, including age, gender, disability, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or beliefs and sexual orientation. The Equality Act (2010) is the law which bans unfair treatment and helps achieve equal opportunities in the workplace (including during recruitment) and in wider society.
TARGETjobs has an excellent section on equality and diversity which outlines your rights, where to get further support and queries about disclosure.
You can come and speak to us should you have any concerns that you would like to discuss.
